Math, Math EVERYWHERE!

It’s never too early to introduce your child to simple concepts in math. There are endless ways to demonstrate basic principles daily because math is everywhere.

Young minds are able to comprehend ideas such as heavy and light, big and small and fast and slow. Take the time to explain these real world mathematical concepts to your children, and engage them in activities that demonstrate them. It makes abstract concepts real and tangible.

Wikkistix Numbers & Counting helps solidify the association between number forms and their values while also building finger strength and dexterity. Bend the wax sticks into the shapes of different numbers and count the different objects on each card. As always, Wikkistix are Made in the USA and are great for open-ended play!

Chickyboom is a fun way to refine gross motor skills while learning about weight, balance, physics and simple addition. Set the chickies and bails of hay on the plank so they balance. Then, take turns removing the pieces one by one until the chickies fall and go BOOM! The brilliance behind this game is that each chick and bail of hay is marked with a number that corresponds with its weight. Show your child that a smaller chick can balance out a larger chick depending on where it’s placed on the plank.

For more advanced mathematicians, 22 Ku-Du keeps mental math skills sharp. Line up your number tiles so that its sum equals 22. Start off by using simple addition & subtraction. Then expand game play to include more advanced math functions such as multiplication, division and square roots.

I haven't seen this toys but it's great. It's a combination of math and science. Children will get very entertained while they are learning.
